The Austin/ Travis County Health and Human Services Department’s Austin Healthy Adolescent Initiative has developed a parent text line that allows parents to confidentially ask questions about talking to their teens about sexual health and relationships.  To opt-in to the text line, parents simply text “ATXParent” to 66746, send in a question, and they will receive a medically-accurate, personalized response from a health educator via text message within 24 hours.

The teen text line allows teens an opportunity to confidentially ask questions about sexual health, puberty, love, and relationships.  To opt-in to the text line, teens simply text “ATXTeen” to 66746, send in a question, and they will receive a medically-accurate, personalized response from a health educator via text message within 24 hours. Also on the website, teens can find information and resources for sexual health and relationships.
