On Mar 09, 2020 at 4:41 pm, I had car trouble at the intersection of Winstead and Enfield and immediately dialed 911. After 10 minutes, no one had arrived yet, so I called again and was assured help was on the way. A minute later, Sgt. Bealand drove up behind me, but he wasn’t responding to the 911 call. He was simply on his way to somewhere and saw my dire situation and stopped to help me. He told me someone else would be coming, but in the meantime he advised me of my tow truck options. Sergeant Bealand stayed with me till Officers Simmons and Mewis arrived. I don’t know which officer called the towing service, but I’m very grateful that by 5:41 pm, Leo with “A Tex Towing” was towing me home. I was in contact with my husband who met me and Leo at the garage. Please say a big “Thank you” to the dispatcher and the 3 officers who helped me get home safely that night.
