The Austin Parks & Recreation Department is a complex organization with over a dozen divisions, over 300 parks and 20,000+ acres of greenspace. This blog aligns with the City of Austin's PRIDE values in helping to ensure an educated and engaged workforce. We share this knowledge publicly so residents and visitors can gain additional insight on PARD operations and how we're improving our communication to benefit our park users. This blog is managed by Austin Parks & Recreation's Assistant Director Kim McNeeley. It features questions from City staff about various operations within the Parks & Recreation Department. Questions will be selected monthly from employee submissions.
