To Whom it may concern:
I placed a 911 call today, Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 2:06 p.m., from the basement level 2 parking lot of Whole Foods Market at 6th and Lamar. Next to my truck there was a dog in a car with no windows open and the heat index was 102 degrees.
The police arrived shortly after the call. There were two officers, I did not get their names, and they were professional, courteous, kind and definitely had the best interest of the dog in mind.
Words alone cannot convey my thanks and gratitude to them for saving the dog. The officers operated in a timely and efficient manner and handled the situation in such a way that made all present confident that they were in control and would take care of everything.
Please recognize these officers. They did their duty and certainly served the people of Austin. In my book, they are an outstanding and excellent representation of Austin's Finest!!
