Yesterday, I was meeting with staff at the Austin Animal Center and after the meeting I was walking the hallways and found that every staff office had a four-legged friend keeping staff company.
Each dog greeted me with a smile, wag of the tail, and a friendly sniff of my hand. This put a big smile on my face but also reminded me that the shelter is overcapacity and literally every square foot of the shelter is being used to house and care for these special pets.
