Tracks replacement needs for air cylinders that supply air to self-contained breathing apparatus used at fires and other hazardous environments. When AFD runs short on its stock of air cylinders, the Department has to increase its deployment of air technicians to re-fill air bottles at the scene. This generates overtime costs for incidents occurring outside regular business hours and decreases time available for repairs and preventive maintenance during regular business hours..
