I was in a hit and run accident this morning (11/19/19) on North Lamar at North Bend. Officer Newcomer #7962 and Officer Rodriguez #8285 and his partner arrived on the scene very promptly. I would like to tell you how very much I appreciate their service to our community. They were both very professional and courteous and made this morning's incident a pleasant experience because of their handling of the situation. I know that police o…

I had a very pleasant experience with the officers John Noetzel and Vance Debes on motorbikes 34 and 37 yesterday afternoon (11/11/2019). My truck died on 2222 and the officers responded quickly and kept both me and the passing traffic safe until the vehicle could be removed. Thanks!

Yesterday evening, Officer Salvador Gonzalez pulled up in front of our house while kids were trick or treating. He got out of his vehicle and began passing out candy and talking to everyone. It was so cool and such a kind and thoughtful thing to do!!! We want to commend Officer Gonzalez and all others. It’s such a tough job, and we so appreciate y’all and everything y’all do!! ❤️

I wanted to say thank you and commend two police officers (Officers Brian Galvan and Joseph Murray) who helped my 16-year-old son out this morning. Unfortunately, I don't know their names, but hope that this will somehow get back to them. My son was driving to his soccer game when his tire blew out and shredded. He's a new driver so he wasn't sure what to do....called us and we jumped in the car to drive from Dripping Springs. In the mean time he was stuck on the off-ramp at W. Cesar Chavez from MOPAC going north with a shredded tire. Before we could get there, two police officers came to offer help. One asked him if he knew how to put the spare on. He didn't - he's only had his license f…

First of all, I must apologize it has taken me this long to file this letter but as an employee of the Texas Legislature within the Texas House of Representative we were extremely busy with the 86th Legislative Session that adjourned on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019. So better late than never, and I still wanted to make sure that Officer Adrian Martinez received the praise he so deserves for going out of his way to help me when my car had a tire blowout during busy rush hour on May 16, 2019 at approximately 3:00 pm. I had taken a late lunch and returning to my Capitol office from home traveling south on MoPac. One of my vehicle's tires blew out close to the 35th Street (Camp Mabry) exit. I w…

My key fell off my key ring. Officer Hunt spotted it, called in my license plate, and tracked me down in my office to return my key. MY CAR COULD HAVE GOTTEN STOLEN! Please make sure he is praised for his above-and-beyond service! Thank you!!

I work as a SANE nurse. On multiple occasions I have witnessed Officer Morgan #8215 take police reports for sexual assault survivors. He does an amazing job with interviews. He is extremely patient and careful with his words and body language. He makes our survivors feel very comfortable. This week I witnessed him training a new officer. He was patient and took the time to teach him how to be an effective interviewer while still being kind.…

Driving to work this morning, I noticed several people standing on the grounds of the St. David's North Austin Medical Center looking concerned and pointing at something. I pulled over and saw they were looking at a baby deer who had become trapped inside a fenced drainage area. Fortunately, an Austin police officer just happened to be driving by, and we flagged her down. She listened as we explained the problem. Just then, a second officer stopped by. Together, the two officers approached the deer and h…
