Participate in the 3C Business Challenge to get information about ways to reduce your business’s water use and show your commitment to saving water. Simply complete the form found here.  Water Conservation staff will review it and recommend steps you can take to improve water efficiency.  Reducing water use can lower energy and wastewater costs as well.

You can also use the 3C Business Challenge to earn points toward qualifying for Austin Green Business Leaders.  This program provides businesses with tools and information to help them incorporate sustainable practices, including protecting the environment, practicing community stewardship, and maintaining a healthy workplace.  It also publicly recognizes businesses that implement green practices.

To help with making water-saving changes, Austin Water offers rebates of up to $100,000 to businesses that replace old equipment with new water-efficient models.  Projects must be pre-approved before any equipment is purchased. You may also schedule a free irrigation system evaluation.  During the evaluation, a licensed irrigator from Austin Water will check the system and determine an efficient watering schedule.  An Irrigation Upgrade Rebate of up to $1,000 may be available for making recommended system improvements.
