The Austin Code Community Volunteers partner with the Austin Code Department by acting as neighborhood liaisons, providing education on city codes to their neighbors, participating in community cleanups and other events. The Austin Code Community Volunteers program seeks to make Austin a more livable city by enhancing and expanding upon the services, capabilities and reach of the Austin Code Department.
The Austin Code Community Volunteers is structured to meet the following objectives:

Provide a bridge between neighborhoods and the Austin Code Department

Conduct targeted Code education campaigns and act as an educational resource to neighbors

Promote a positive image of the Austin Code Department within the community

Identify, organize, and participate in special projects such as community cleanups

Gain practical work experience, training, and contacts to benefit their future needs
Becoming an Austin Code Community Volunteer

Complete a Volunteer Application Form

Complete a Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability
-
Submit to a Background Check (CBI)

Participate in an intake process consisting of a three hour training and orientation, including reading and signing a Volunteer Expectations & Code of Conduct form
We're excited to offer our new training for the Austin Code Community Volunteers program! I'll be adding additional session dates, so don't worry if you can't make one of the sessions below. I'm also planning on offering a session(s) at a location that is futher South. I look forward to seeing you all at one of our future trainings! The training sessions are scheduled for the following days and times:

Tuesday, January 31 - From 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
