The City of Austin offers a $100 per unit rebate up to a maximum of $500 per property (parts & labor) for the purchase and installation of a pressure regulating valve (PRV) for multi-family water customers.

PRVs are a type of valve installed in a property's plumbing to regulate water pressure. Because higher water pressure leads to more waste, PRVs can also help to conserve water. To be eligible for the rebate, a property must have water pressure over 80 pounds per square inch (psi) and not have an existing PRV already installed. For tax purposes, multi-family properties must submit a completed IRS Form W-9 to receive a rebate.
