Responsible for all financial system transactions related to Capital Improvement Project (CIP) contracts, wage compliance on CIP construction projects, and Records Management. Also approves execution of contracts and maintains contract insurance.
The Contract Administration Division’s primary functions include:

Review and process encumbrances for new contracts and assist with modifications to existing contracts

Enforce compliance by contractors with the prevailing wage requirements on active Capital Improvement Project construction contracts as mandated by Texas Statute 2258 and City Ordinance

Records Management through maintenance of all open Construction and Professional Service contracts

Adherence to retention schedules and archiving completed contracts
