Green City Festival

The Green City Initiative is a partnership between the City of Austin and the community, with the goal of preserving and protecting Austin's environment.

The Green City Festival is every other year to showcase city departments and partnering non-profits green initiatives. The event includes interactive tours, speakers, giveaways, and live music. The next festival will be in 2013.

2011’s Festival included: cycling and gowalla tours of green projects in the heart of Austin, hands-on kids corner, interactive displays, reusable giveaways, green film screenings, live music by Warren Hood, and speakers from Austin’s “green” community.
