The City's Fleet Mobility Department works with local schools to provide an opportunity for high school graduates to work in a real on-the-job automotive repair shop to gain valuable experience for a career in the automotive industry.

Over 30 interns hired in the last five years.

 

If hired as a full-time employee, the City will help you become ASE Certified. 

Intern Program Requirements

  • Graduation from an AISD or DVISD High School campus (end of current school year);
  • Completed one (1) year in Automotive Career & Technical Education at Crockett, Eastside Memorial Northeast or Del Valle High School;
  • Be at least 18 years of age by internship start date.
