The Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is partnering with Austin Parks Foundation (APF) to create a new playground at Springdale Neighborhood Park.

Survey 2 - provide feedback now through June 26, 2020Image of the playground equipment at Springdale Neighborhood Park taken in January 2020

Project Background

APF worked with PARD in 2019 to identify projects that could be funded with APF Board Designated Funds. The Springdale Neighborhood Park playscape and surfacing are considered failingĀ and were selected as a priority for replacement.

Project Description

The project is limited to the play structure and safety surfacing at this time, as well as any curbing changes needed to put it in ADA and City Code compliance. The goal is to open up the park and make it more accessible through this project.

Anticipated Schedule

The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, modifications may be made.
