The Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is partnering with Austin Parks Foundation (APF) to create a new playground at Springdale Neighborhood Park.
Survey 2 - provide feedback now through June 26, 2020
APF worked with PARD in 2019 to identify projects that could be funded with APF Board Designated Funds. The Springdale Neighborhood Park playscape and surfacing are considered failing and were selected as a priority for replacement.
The project is limited to the play structure and safety surfacing at this time, as well as any curbing changes needed to put it in ADA and City Code compliance. The goal is to open up the park and make it more accessible through this project.
The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, modifications may be made.
PARD is encouraging virtual community meetings due to the COVID19 health crisis. For the most up-to-date information on the COVID19 situation, including actions you can personally take, please visit www.austintexas.gov/covid19.
