Arrive 90 Minutes Early
Passengers are advised to arrive in the terminal at least 90 minutes prior to flight departure time.
Passenger traffic is up at Austin’s airport, meaning more passengers in lines. Arrive early, then it’s on your way.
Packing
-
Call your credit card company so they don’t put a hold on your card
-
Check your airline's baggage policy
-
Remove credit cards and anything not necessary for the trip
-
Take photos of your packed suitcase, inside and out, in case it gets lost
-
Include destination address and cell number on outside luggage tags and on inside of each bag
-
Wait to wrap gifts, they may need to be opened for inspection (carry-on and checked bags)
-
Prescription medications/medical supplies don't count as carry-on baggage allowance. TSA does not require you to bring your medications in original containers but it is a good idea. You don't have to bring a full bottle on a week-long trip, but having the container could be helpful. Never pack prescription drugs in checked baggage.

Before You Go
-
Check-in online if possible
-
Put your ID, credit card and boarding pass (if applicable) in an easily accessible wallet or bag. This way you make sure that you don't leave home without these crucial items and you don't waste your (and others) time fumbling around at the ticket counter
