Volunteer with the Animal Services Office

Many opportunities exist for citizens to help Austin Animal Center. Depending on your interest, skill set, availability and reason for wanting to help, there is a place for you – whether at AAC, at home, in the community, or with one of our Partner Agencies.

At the Animal Center, individuals, groups, boy/girl scout troops, sororities/fraternities all contribute to the enhancements to the animals and our community.

The Austin Animal Center does not offer "Community Service Restitution" hours.

You can become a volunteer at the shelter:

As an individual
As part of a group
As a Foster Family or with a Partner Organization

Or you can help other animal-related agencies to make a difference in the lives of animals and to help us maintain our No-Kill status. Check out some of these options.
