There is major construction in the Allandale neighborhood as we install a storm drain system on Bull Creek Road, Nasco Drive and White Horse Trail. The purpose is to improve drainage and reduce flooding of houses, yards and streets.
There are four storm drain projects planned for the Dawson Neighborhood. The largest is the Euclid-Wilson project. The purpose of all four is to improve drainage and reduce flooding of houses, yards and streets.
We are buying out homes in the 25-year floodplain of Onion Creek due to the high risk of flooding. During storms in 1998 and 2001, two neighborhoods had to be evacuated to prevent loss of lives. Ultimately, the land will become a park.
