Youth

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs for children 3-12 years of age. The majority of these programs are held at our 20 recreation centers, the Dougherty Art Center and the Austin Nature and Science Center. In addition, the O. Henry Museum and the Susanna Dickinson Museum offer children’s workshops and classes. Summer offers many additional free and fee based programs.

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department uses a professional, systematic and studied approach in determining the programs and services we offer our community.
