Grow Green Class, Trees 101: Branching Out

Join the City of Austin Grow Green Team and its program partners with City of Austin Development Services and Parks & Recreation departments for our FREE 2018 Spring Grow Green Training TREES 101: Branching Out.

Learn about tree selection, care & common problems. Join the experts for Tree Talks and Walks. The training will begin inside where you will learn about tree selection, care and how to diagnose common tree problems from three certified arborists, then we will head outside with the experts to see some of the topics covered applied in the garden!

  1. “On the Right Foot: Tree Selection, Inspection, and Planting”
  2. “How to Own a Tree”
  3. “Should I Be Worried?: Essential Tree Diagnostics”


This training is FREE but attendees must pre-register on EventBrite Deadline: Thursday, April 26, 2018 at midnight


Pay admission to the garden and park in the upper lot or Park for Free in the Overflow Parking on Stratford Drive Admission, cash or check, is: $1 for children (ages 3-12); $2 for adults, Austin resident (ages 13-61); $3 for adults, non-resident (ages 13-61; $1 for seniors (age 62 & over) Community member registered for Grow Green Training can park for FREE (and don't have to pay admission to the garden) in the Overflow Parking. There is not an address sign but you can GPS 2390 Stratford Drive You will have to enter the back of the garden through the Rose Gate and walk to the main building.
