The Austin Parks and Recreation Department’s Zilker Botanical Gardens and Moonflower Herb Festival are pleased to announce that patrons visiting the garden on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, will be able to enjoy an outdoor event with booths and vendors relating to native herbs and their traditions.
Moonflower Herb Fest gathers herbalists and herb lovers together to celebrate and share their experiences with regional plant medicines and plant healing. Their mission is to strengthen the herbal community in Central Texas by connecting new and experienced herbalists together to share information. They give special space for elders & mentors who have studied for decades, to be able to share deep and meaningful knowledge about plants. Though regional in focus, they seek to offer different cultural approaches and traditions that use plants today. They strive to offer a schedule of classes that will appeal to both beginners and advanced plant lovers alike, with a special focus on native herbs and traditions.
Anyone is interested in attending the indoor symposium, please be aware that you must register and that a fee is charged for the classes. You may register here: http://www.moonflowerherbfest.com/
