Public Meeting - Lower Shoal Creek Flood Risk Reduction

The Watershed Protection Department is evaluating ways to reduce the dangers associated with flooding along Shoal Creek in the downtown area, between 15th Street and Lady Bird Lake.

We’ve looked at:

  • Modifying the channel of Shoal Creek
  • Detention ponds
  • Underground conveyance of flood waters 
  • Community resiliency

Some of these are more promising than others. Please join us at this public meeting to find out more:
