The Police Activities League (PAL) of Austin will host a free Boxing Show on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Pan Am Rec Center, 2100 E. 3rd Street. PAL boxers are age 8-21 and there will be approximately 25 matches. Bouts start at 2 p.m. and they are open to the public. Admission is $5 at the door; children under 14 are free. Proceeds benefit the PAL program. The event showcases PAL youth, who work hard to keep their grades up and to stay drug and alcohol free.

PAL is designed to support at-risk youth in our community by offering these children a safe place to gather and enjoy educational and social benefits, as well as athletic opportunities. The goal of the program is to prevent and combat juvenile delinquency and to promote and improve the moral and civic standards of youth.
