APD responded to the scene of a failure to stop and render aid crash in the 9000 block of Burleson Road on the evening of March 30, 2021. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who shared that he was on his way home from a cycling event when he was struck from behind without warning. The man was transported with serious injuries to a local hospital by Austin-Travis County EMS.
An unidentified witness reported the suspect may have been driving a white Toyota 4Runner with an inoperable passenger-side headlight.
The victim in this case was riding a pink bicycle at the time of the incident. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
