APD is seeking the public’s assistance in a failure to stop and render aid case that occurred on Friday, February 9, 2018 at approximately 3:30 p.m. A student from Forest North Elementary School was walking home from school, northbound on the east side of the 13000 block of Hymeadow Drive, when a vehicle left the roadway and struck him. The vehicle then left the scene without stopping to render aid to the child. The vehicle may be a red Chevrolet SUV with dark tinted windows, but the victim was not certain.
 
The child received non-life threatening injuries from the crash.
