The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has set a new April high with 1,409,277 arriving and departing passengers for April 2019.

AUSTIN, Texas –The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has set a new April high with 1,409,277 arriving and departing passengers for April 2019. This is an increase of 6.4 percent over April of 2018 when the airport recorded 1,324,938 passengers for the month of April. The April 2019 mark is also the No. 7 highest month in airport history, with July 2018 still standing as the all-time monthly high with 1,511,634 passengers.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for April 2019 was 1,409,277 up 6.4% compared to April 2018. April 2019 enplanements totaled 714,472, up 5.7%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 492,042, up 5%; American Airlines passengers 248,529, up 8.3%; United Airlines passengers totaled 212,380, up 6.6%; Delta Air Lines passengers 195,128, up 8.7%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 62,467; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 52,913, up 14.3%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 46,874, down 2.8%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 44,027, down 53.9%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 19,311, down 31.4%; British Airways passengers totaled 16,254, up 17.4%; Norwegian Air passengers totaled 7,695, up 15.7%; Air Canada passengers totaled 5,191, up 35.4%; AeroMexico passengers totaled 3,162, down 9%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 2,173, up 492.1%; and ViaAir passengers totaled 1,131, up 58.8%.
April 2019 air cargo totaled 13,104,557 lbs., up 1.6% compared to April 2018. International air cargo totaled 2,452,558 lbs., down 6.6%. Federal Express carried 7.9 million lbs., up 1%; and United Parcel Service carried 3 million lbs., up 18.2%.
Air Services transferred 989,646 lbs. of mail, up 52.4%; and 1,467,977 lbs. of belly freight, down 9.2%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,983, down 8.3%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 17,924, down 1.2%.
January - April 2019
Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – April 2019 was 5,117,226, up 9.3%, compared to January – April 2018. January – April 2019 enplanements totaled 2,551,512, up 9.4%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 1,811,635, up 6.2%; American Airlines passengers 981,773, up 13.8%; United Airlines passengers totaled 768,013, up 9.7%; Delta Air Lines passengers 683,651, up 9.4%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 187,471, up 12.5%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 179,644, down 7.8%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 174,413, down 21.8%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 159,800; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 59,920, down 40.2%; British Airways passengers totaled 54,785, up 21.2%; Air Canada passengers totaled 19,362, up 35.7%; Norwegian Air passengers totaled 15,351, up 83.5%; AeroMexico passengers totaled 11,762, down 13.3%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 3,697, up 124.5%; ViaAir passengers totaled 3,064, down 20.9%; Swift Air passengers totaled 993, up 77.6%; Volaris passengers totaled 434; Scandinavian Airlines passengers totaled 423; and Lufthansa passengers totaled 259.
April 2019 (January – April 2019) air cargo totaled 59,323,566 lbs., up 0.4% compared to April 2018. International air cargo totaled 7,104,012 lbs., down 5.6%. Federal Express carried 31.9 million lbs., down 2.5%; and United Parcel Service carried 11.9 million lbs., down 2.6%.
Air Services transferred 3,704,405 lbs. of mail, up 58.8%; and 7,128,552 lbs. of belly freight, up 15%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 14,718 for January – April 2019, down 7.3%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 67,446 up 2.4%.
