

Austin 3-1-1's Cindi Perez Named Award Finalist
Austin, TX – Austin 3-1-1’s Cindi Perez is a finalist for the Exemplary Leader award as part of the 8th Annual NextGen Public Service Awards.
The Exemplary Leader award recognizes an individual government leader who has demonstrated benevolence, competence, integrity, dedication, and commitment to improve and inspire their organization or community at the local, state, national, or international level.
Under Cindi’s leadership, Austin 3-1-1 has become the first 3-1-1 center in the nation to be ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring current processes minimize errors and increase staff productivity. Austin 3-1-1 also launched an award-winning mobile app, with residents submitting over 80,000 service requests.
“Austin 3-1-1 is one of our most important links with the community,” says City Manager Spencer Cronk. “We’re both fortunate and proud to have an exemplary leader like Cindi as a champion for true customer service. She comes to work every day looking to improve the way we listen and the way we respond to our residents’ needs, and it’s reflected in the entire 3-1-1 team. The winners of the NextGen Public Service Awards, which are presented by GovLoop and Young Government Leaders, will be announced on Wednesday, August 8 in Washington, D.C.
