Due to recent temperatures and rainfall, the Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) has lifted their burning restrictions effective Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019. Austin is still in drought conditions, so it’s especially important to use provided grills and fire rings or a gas stove. PARD is committed to protecting the City's parks and surrounding communities and will be re-evaluating the wildfire risk on an ongoing basis and will advise the public if circumstances change.
