Narrative:
On Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Austin Police officers responded to a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, 13749 North US 183 Hwy Service Road.
A preliminary investigation shows that a male entered the bank and demanded cash. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
The suspect has been identified as Phillip Howard Brown. He is currently in custody in the Williamson County Jail.
Brown is also responsible for APD’s 2nd bank robbery on January 10, 2012 at the same Wells Fargo Bank. Charges are currently pending for 2 counts of Robbery by Threat, 2nd Degree Felony.
This case remains under investigation by APD Robbery detectives. At this time in 2011, there were five bank robberies.
