FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASERelease Date:
AUSTIN, Texas – Condor Airlines has announced it is extending service through 2017 in Texas with its nonstop route between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Frankfurt International Airport (FRA). Seasonal service in 2017 will be extended to May through October with flights currently available at www.condor.com/us. Inaugural AUS-FRA service launched on June 27 and will continue in 2016 through September 1.
“The booking outlook is so promising that we’ve already made the flights available for next summer and extended the season, May through October, so there are even more opportunities for you to fly to Europe,” said Wilken Bellmann, Condor’s Head of Network Development Long-Haul.
Flights operate on Condor's B767-300ER, which has 259 seats with 18 business, 35 premium, and 206 economy class seats.
“The addition of Austin, as our 14th destination in the United States, shows clearly how important the U.S. market is for Condor. The demand for passengers to travel to Germany or beyond from North America is as high as ever before. We want to cater to those who want to avoid crowded and congested hubs, and rather travel nonstop to Frankfurt from their home airport, such as Austin, Texas,” said Jens Boyd, Condor’s Director Long Haul & Revenue Management. “And once in Frankfurt, passengers can connect to basically any major destination in Europe. With our numerous partner airlines, we offer flights beyond Frankfurt to over 120 destinations at very competitive prices. Access to the German Railway is also easily available.”
The airport of choice for Central Texas is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Austin-Bergstrom extends a thank you to its airport partners and its 11.9 million passengers in 2015.
