Delta launches Austin to Raleigh-Durham nonstop
AUSTIN, Texas – Delta Air Lines launched new nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) today. Inaugural flight ceremonies included cake, a ribbon cutting and a live performance by Austin-based musician Shawn Pander.
“Austin continues to be a focus market for Delta, and we are committed to linking these flights to our global network while providing passengers with an industry–leading combination of operational performance, service and products on every flight,” said Aaron Murray, Delta Air Lines Managing Director of Pricing and Revenue Management.
Delta provided Austin service to over 1.5 million passengers in 2016 and is the airport’s fourth largest carrier. Delta’s list of nonstop flights from Austin has grown to seven with the addition of Raleigh-Durham. Delta currently operates Austin nonstop service to Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis / St. Paul, New York (JFK) and Salt Lake City.
Delta also announced it is adding new daily nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and the carrier’s Pacific Northwest hub, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). AUS-SEA flights will launch on June 12, 2017.
