Deceased:   Donald Langston | White male | February 23, 1965

The preliminary investigation shows that a white, 2003 BMW X5 was traveling southbound in the 7200 block of Congress Avenue when pedestrian Donald Langston stepped into the roadway. The driver slammed on his breaks, but was unable to stop in time to avoid striking Mr. Langston. Austin Fire Department personnel and Austin-Travis County EMS both attempting life-saving measures, but Donald Langston succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The driver remained on site and showed no signs of impairment. No charges are expected.
