Senior Austin Police Officer Lewis "Andy" Traylor, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic on-duty crash, will be remembered and honored on Sunday, August 8, and Monday, August 9, 2021, during a public visitation and funeral service.
Officer Traylor was a U.S. Navy veteran and served with the Austin Police Department for nine years. He is survived by his wife and five children.

Procession route:
- From Cook-Walden Funeral Home
- Northbound on N. Lamar Blvd. to US Hwy 183
- Left turn and enter northbound on US Hwy 183
- Take the exit to northbound on N. Mopac
- Northbound on N. Mopac and exit Shoreline Drive
- Right turn to eastbound on Shoreline Drive
- Take the second entrance on Shoreline Drive into the church parking lot

Full law enforcement honors will follow on the front lawn of the church immediately following the service.
Media cameras will be allowed inside during the funeral service, and a live stream will be viewable on the City of Austin website at ATXN TV and on the Austin Police Department Facebook social media page. APD requests that the Traylor children in attendance not be filmed to protect their privacy. Masks are encouraged for the service.
Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon will be available for interviews at the end of the service. APD PIO will be onsite to assist the media attending this event.
