Deceased: David Dunn, White male, 10/09/1960
On Saturday, June 20, 2020, around 4:33 a.m., the Austin Police Department (APD) received multiple calls regarding shots fired in the 3800 block of Alexandria Drive. APD officers arrived on scene and located David Dunn with significant trauma that included a gunshot wound. Austin-Travis County EMS arrived on scene to attend to him. He was pronounced deceased at 5 a.m. at the scene.
Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists responded to process the scene. Detectives, who have identified most of the individuals involved, also recovered video from the scene that includes extensive footage of the event. Those involved are encouraged to contact the APD Homicide Unit at 512-974-8477 to provide their statements about the incident.
This incident appears to be isolated to the individuals involved.
The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
