Deceased: Adelaido Bernabe Urias, Hispanic male, 12-16-1951
On Tuesday, June 23 at approximately 3:10 p.m., Austin 911 received a call of a man shot in the apartment complex located at 9210 Northgate Blvd. Upon arrival, officers located Adeliado Bernabe Urias with a gunshot wound. Residents told police that he was known to them as an ice cream vendor who pushed a small ice cream cart around the area. A witness who tried to comfort Adeliado Bernabe Urias stated he said three black males had tried to rob him. Adeliado Bernabe Urias was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas with life-threatening injuries. Robbery detectives and crime scene specialists arrived at the location and processed the scene.
On Wednesday, July 1 at 5:10 p.m., Adeliado Bernabe Urias succumbed to his wounds and died.
Homicide detectives are now working the case. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
