The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified Fernando Perez as the deceased in the October 9 homicide at Club Lobos.
On Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 5:17 a.m., 9-1-1 received a call that a person had been shot at Club Lobos located at 9601 N IH 35 NB Svrd. The caller reported that he and the victim were leaving the club when shots were heard and the victim was struck. APD officers responded and located Fernando Perez in the parking lot of Club Lobos with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene at 5:30 a.m. by Dr Escott with the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Homicide investigators and crime scene technicians responded to process the scene. Witnesses were identified and interviewed. This case is still under investigation.
On October 10, 2021, the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office conducted an autopsy and determined the cause of death to be gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death, homicide.
