The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport set a new high for the month of January with 1,129,482 passengers coming through the airport's gates.

AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport set a new high for the month of January with 1,129,482 passengers coming through the airport's gates. This 2019 January mark surpasses the 2018 January high of 1,042,834 with 86,648 more passengers, an increase of 8.3 percent.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January 2019 was 1,129,482 up 8.3% compared to January 2018. January 2019 enplanements totaled 555,244, up 8.6%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 416,721 up 5% compared to January 2018; American Airlines passengers totaled 233,799, up 16.8%; United Airlines passengers totaled 170,448, up 14.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 146,730, up 11.6%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 45,861, up 8.6%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 43,263, up 52.2 %; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 41,896, down 3.6%; British Airways passengers totaled 12,835, up 21.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 8,470, down 58.1%; Air Canada passengers totaled 4,275, up 32.9%; AeroMexico passengers totaled 3,243, down 4.6 %; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 590, down 11.8%; ViaAir passengers totaled 514, down 50.6%; Volaris passengers totaled 434, down 64.5%; and Swift Air passengers totaled 403, up 51.5%.
January 2019 air cargo totaled 14,724,854 lbs., down 4.1% compared to January 2018. International air cargo totaled 1,243,854 lbs., down 8.6%. Federal Express carried 8.2 million lbs., up 0.5%; and United Parcel Service carried 3 million lbs., up 0.3%.
Air Services transferred 957,164 lbs. of mail, up 83%; and 1,596,946 lbs. of belly freight, up 14.5%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,741, up 0.6%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 16,375, up 5.3%.
