Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month came just in time for the Austin Animal Center, with more than 400 cats and kittens at the shelter or in foster care.

The shelter is running a “Kitten Kraziness” promotion to kick off the month. All ready-to-go cats and kittens are $75 for one or two for $50.  And it gets even crazier. The fee is only $35 for adult cats that have been at the shelter more than 6 days, and the fee is waived for cats more than 5 years old. The special begins June 1 through June 3.

“Now is a perfect time to find a cat to add to your family,” said Holli Odom  Customer Service Supervisor.  “We have a wide variety of cats and kittens of all sizes, shapes and colors, you name it we have them, so please come meet the shelter’s special feline residents.”

All pets will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and will go home with a collar, tag and microchip.  These services, valued at more than $200, will help the pets stay healthy and safe.
