Social worker called police at suspect's request

Narrative:

At 12:43 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012, a hospital social worker from Seton Williamson County called Austin 911 at the request of a suspect, Ryan Kyle Clarke, to report that Clarke had injured someone the previous day at the Lantana Ridge Apartments. After the 911 call, Austin Police Department officers responded to a check welfare call at 6636 W. William Cannon Dr. Officers made entry into the apartment and located a deceased female who suffered obvious trauma to her body.

The victim Cassandra Clark was pronounced deceased at the scene.

APD Homicide detectives travelled to Williamson County where they attempted to interview Clarke and later took him into custody. He has been charged with Murder, a 1st Degree Felony, and is in the Travis County Jail. Bond is set at $100,000.
