Explore pop-up play areas, design-a-park stations, and fort building activities.
The Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) hopes more children across the city will be able to connect to nature on a daily basis. With this goal in mind, improvements are planned for Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park, MLK Station Neighborhood Park, and Armadillo Neighborhood Park. PARD is seeking input from the community, especially the kids, about the improvements planned at each of the following locations:

Community members are invited to explore pop-up play areas, design-a-park stations, and fort building activities. The vision for these park improvements is to provide abundant and equitable access to nature for the children of Austin, with a specific focus on children in low-income communities and children of color.
