FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASERelease Date:
AUSTIN, TX – Scott Airport Parking celebrated the grand opening of the newest, fastest and most eco-friendly airport parking facility in Austin. Park&Zoom (www.parkandzoom.com) is the new 2,000-space covered parking facility located on Austin-Bergstrom International Airport grounds. Grand opening celebrations on Nov. 15 included a ribbon cutting ceremony and a tour of the facility.
The convenience of closer covered parking will allow travelers to securely park their car on airport grounds with a faster shuttle ride to their terminal. This saves customers time when leaving and returning from a trip. The new facility will be open 24/7 to accommodate customer flight times and schedules and will offer the choice of valet or self-park.
Park&Zoom is located at 9518 Hotel Drive, near Highway 71 and Presidential Boulevard, and is one of the most environmentally conscious facilities in the nation. In addition to the 2,000 covered parking spaces, Park&Zoom also features an eco-friendly detention pond with water filtration system, capturing rain runoff to prevent flooding and minimizing environmental impact. The $2M dollar pond design is unique in that it is located under the parking facility, which decreases the environmental impact and footprint.
Park&Zoom also features:
- EV charging stations
- Bicycle racks and showers for bicyclists
- Mix of all-electric and super low emission diesel shuttles, making the entire facility as low impact as possible.
Park&Zoom is also heavily involved in local Austin area charities, with donations going to Helping Hand Home of Austin, Mobile Loaves & Fishes and Lifeworks. Park&Zoom will donate $1 to these charities for each of the first 15,000 customers that sign up for the frequent parker ZoomClub.
Another unique aspect of the Park&Zoom facility is that it is a public and private partnership, with land being leased from the City of Austin. Once the lease term ends, the ownership of the development reverts to the City of Austin, debt free.
More information, maps and directions to the Park&Zoom facility are available at www.parkandzoom.com.
