The Police Activities League (PAL) of Austin is hosting an amateur boxing and family event this Saturday. Top youth competitors from across Texas will be taking part, including Austin PAL youth.　

First bout begins at 2 p.m.

Austin PAL Boxing is a youth development program where police officers and volunteers help youth grow through positive sportsmanship and other beneficial life skills. PAL programs are free for all youth.
　
Austin PAL was founded as a nonprofit organization for the purpose of bringing youth together with APD officers in an effort to break down barriers that sometimes exist.
