In the next two weeks, most construction activity will be on:
The contractor will be working on Presidents’ Day, weather permitting.
Burnet Road: We will begin installing the storm drain line. This will require a complete closure of the road in the work area. This work is likely to begin the week of February 20.
47th Street: We will be finishing up several tasks, including:
For the most part, this work will not require a complete closure of the street. When the water line is connected, we will have to shut off the water to some homes to make each connection. We will notify affected homes ahead of time. We are expecting to connect the water line the week of February 27.
On repaving, we have almost completed installing the base layer. However, installing the top layer of pavement is probably still a few weeks away. We found on earlier streets that this base layer provided a better driving surface than the temporary pavement.
Intersection of 43rd Street and Rosedale: We will be completing work on the water lines. We do not expect to completely close the street or intersection for this work.
Streets That Have Already Been Paved: We still need to return and finish some striping and re-install the speed cushions.
