The preliminary investigation shows that a 2017 White, Volvo Truck Tractor was traveling northbound in the 8200 block of N IH-35 NB proper, in the outside lane. A pedestrian, identified as Stefanie Marie Torres, 38, was attempting to cross the highway when the vehicle struck her.
 
Torres was pronounced deceased on the scene.
 
The truck driver stayed on scene. No charges will be filed at this time.
