Arrested:       Alan Torres-Yanez, Hispanic male, age 25
 
The preliminary investigation shows that Alan Torres-Yanez, age 25, was driving a blue, 2000 Honda westbound on FM 969 when it crashed with a white, Ford van that was attempting to pull out from Regency Drive to go eastbound.
 
Yesenia Lopez-Rodriguez, the passenger in the Honda, was transported by Austin-Travis County EMS to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where she was pronounced deceased at 9:42 p.m. Torres-Yanez was also transported with minor injuries. The driver of the van was uninjured and stayed on scene to cooperate with the investigation.
 
Alan Torres-Yanez was arrested for DWI.
