Driver was not wearing his seatbelt

Date: Sunday, November 25, 2012
Time: 2:15 a.m.
Location: 6400 Block of East Parmer Lane
Deceased: Yoandry Arias, Black male, (D.O.B. 7-8-1985)
Narrative:
APD’s preliminary investigation shows that a 2003 Maroon Chevy Impala was travelling eastbound in the 6400 block of East Parmer Lane. For unknown reasons the Impala left the roadway, struck the south curb line and rolled about 30 feet. The driver, Yoandry Arias, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Arias was not wearing his seatbelt.

Homicide Unit Detectives at (512) 974-8164. This is Austin’s 69th traffic fatality of 2012. At this time in 2011, there were 48 traffic fatalities.
