New Nonstop Flights From Austin to Baton Rouge Announced by ViaAir.
AUSTIN, Texas – ViaAir announced new nonstop service between the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s (AUS) South Terminal and the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR), in Baton Rouge, Louisiana beginning September 13, 2018. Tickets are now available for purchase at www.flyviaair.com.
“The Hill Country meets the bayou in this capital to capital connection,” said Jeff Pearse, CEO of LoneStar Holdings, the operator of the South Terminal at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “Thanks to ViaAir, the numerous LSU Tiger and Southern Jaguar fans in Central Texas now have a quick flight to Baton Rouge, rather than a day-long drive.”

The ViaAir nonstop service from AUS to BTR will depart Austin’s South Terminal at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Baton Rouge at 1:03 p.m. Flights will depart Baton Rouge at 1:38 p.m. and arrive at Austin’s South Terminal at 3:08 p.m. All times are local.
With the new service to Baton Rouge, ViaAir continues its growth in Austin to seven new nonstop destinations since December. ViaAir’s options from Austin also include Tulsa, Oklahoma (TUL), Little Rock, Arkansas (LIT), Oklahoma City (OKC), Tucson, Arizona (TUS), seasonal service to Branson, Missouri (BKG) and winter seasonal flights to Steamboat Springs / Hayden, Colorado (HDN).
