Commercial Medical Oversight programs are available through your AED vendor.
You can use any physician willing to provide medical oversight for an AED program.
OMD will provide medical oversight for programs in Travis County.
To request medical oversight, complete the Medical Oversight Form and email Louis Gonzales, Clinical Quality and Patient Safety specialist, at Louis.Gonzales2@austintexas.gov or fax it to (512) 978-0010.
Registering the AED
All AEDs should be registered with your local emergency services provider. In Austin and Travis County, you can register online.
Everyone should know how to give compressions and use the AED in an emergency.
