Police Recruiting Application & Requirements

We are currently accepting applications for cadet classes starting in December 2012, April 2013 and August 2013.

Applicants must be aware that once we have received a completed Background History Application packet, which includes all required documents, you will be marked from the date you have turned in a completed application packet. This date will be used to determine your ranking on the eligibility list after you have passed all other steps in the hiring process. It is imperative that all applicants mail in completed applications as soon as possible when we are actively accepting applications so that you can be signed up for a posted testing date.

Background History Application

The next few steps will instruct you to download and print the Background History Application from your computer. Please click on the link below to complete an interest card.

  • Fill out the Police Cadet Interest Card. Note: Completing this card is not the actual application. All documents must be turned in when you send in your application packet or it will be rejected.
  • Once you have completed the online interest card, click on the submit button.
  • Click on the Background History Application link that appears and then click on the print button. The Background History Application will print out at your computer site. Please review the Background Instructions before completing the Background History Application.
