The Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is partnering with Austin Parks Foundation (APF) to create a new playground at Springdale Neighborhood Park.
APF worked with PARD in 2019 to identify projects that could be funded with APF Board Designated Funds. The Springdale Neighborhood Park playscape and surfacing are considered failigint and were selected as a priority for replacement.
The project is limited to the play structure and safety surfacing at this time, as well as any curbing changes needed to put it in ADA and City Code compliance. The goal is to open up the park and make it more accessible through this project.
The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2020.
