Asian American Teen Career Day Banner

The Asian American Resource Center (AARC) invites 9th - 12th grade students to go beyond the traditional professions and explore diverse career paths at the Inaugural Asian American Teen Career Day conference on Saturday, March 7 from 8:30am – 2pm.

Many students preparing for college are familiar with traditional career paths such as doctors, lawyers, and engineers. In particular for Asian American youth that are dealing with the “model minority” stereotype, there are often pressures to enter these highly skilled careers.

The AARC Teen Career Day will provide high school students an opportunity to explore diverse career paths from local Asian American professionals that may better fit their interests, skills and passions. Students will participate in panel discussions, career presentations and learn about getting ready for college.

By creating a space to inform, learn, and educate on the vast career fields such as public service, education, creatives, and more, the AARC hopes to empower students to be prepared to navigate college and find their right career path.

Registration required. $20 fee includes breakfast, lunch and conference materials.

Registration opens 1/10/20* Registration will close once conference meets capacity.

Students must be currently enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
